Sai-No-Kuni Visual Plaza has its eye firmly on digital technology in the 21st century. It comprises six facilities, making it a genuine center of audio-visual productions.

  • The Studio is for the production of high-definition digital programs.
  • The Audio Visual Hall, with its large screen and Dolby Surround System, allows the audience to enjoy digital cinema.
  • The HD Editing Room and 5.1ch Audio Sweetening Room are post-production facilities. They are equipped with high-end equipment in a comfortable production environment.
  • 18 rental offices to assist young creators and venture companies.
  • The Visual Museum allows visitors to learn about history and principles of image and process of filmmaking through hands-on experience.
  • In the Audio Visual Library, visitors can view on demand stills or motion pictures, which are valuable assets of Saitama Prefecture and memorable TV programs produced by NHK.

The Audio Visual Hall is a rental facility that can be used for a variety of events, such as the screening of movies.

The Visual Museum holds regularly scheduled exhibitions of cutting-edge examples of audio-visual work. Camera equipment and editing rooms can be rented from here. The museum also holds filmmaking classes for schools.

Creators can carry out every stage of the filmmaking process under one roof. They can shoot in multiformat-compatible studios, edit and do production using high-end equipment, and then screen their works in the Audio Visual Hall.

SKIPCITY Channel, an Internet broadcasting station, operates 24 hours a day. Audiences around the world can view event information, the works of children and adults, and interviews with industry professionals.

In addition, the SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL, which focuses on digital cinema, has been held since 2004. The event aims to discover the next generation of audio-visual creators and actively promote their work.
